In fact, we offer more day camp options than anyone.  Why?  It's the best way we've found to combine mounted and unmounted instruction in a fun equine learning experience.

Summer Day Camps -- Novice and Rising Rider

Rising Rider -- May 26-29, July 28-31, and Aug 11-14, 2010
5-Day Novice -- June 22-26, 2010
3-Day Novice -- July 5-7, 2010

happy campersNovice Day Camps are perfect for kids with little or no horse experience. We offer several Novice camps throughout the summer, including two Rising Rider Camps for younger riders.  Novice camps with 8-hour sessions are appropriate for kids aged 9-16; Rising Riders Camps have 3-hour sessions for kids aged 6-8.  Camp fees start at $125 and vary by camp.  Click here for more information about Novice Summer Day Camps.

June 8-12, 2010

Eventing camp is one of the big achievements for our students:  it's an intense 5-day experience of eventing theory, dressage and jumping instruction, and a full Amoeba- thru Training-level Combined Test competition.  Appropriate for riders who are secure at a canter over 18" or higher fences, with some experience riding in the open, Blue Level equivalent and up.  Only $225 per rider.  Click here for more information about this unique Eventing camp.

 

 

Mounted Games Campsgames handoff

Intro -- March 20 and November 27, 2010
Adv -- April 10-11 and November 13-14, 2010

We offer four wildly popular Mounted Games camps each year -- and isn't it a shame we can't squeeze a few more into our schedule?  For now, though, we have:

Intro to Mounted Games Camp -- A one-day camp that combines a clinic and a low-key Games competition.  Appropriate for riders aged 7 and up who are secure at a trot, Red Level equivalent or higher.  This camp is held twice yearly, in the spring and fall, and costs $45 per rider.  Click here for more information about the Intro to Mounted Games camp.

Mounted Games Camp -- A weekend camp for more advanced riders, with or without previous Games experience.  Appropriate for riders aged 9 and up, secure at a canter/gallop, Green Level equivalent and up.  This camp is held twice yearly, in the spring and fall, and costs $85 per rider.  Click here for more information about the Mounted Games camp.

Our weekend camp proves that dressage can be fun!  This relaxed, informal camp includes classical dressage instruction, introduction to natural dressage theory, and tips for dressage tests.  It also offers the opportunity to ride an Intro-thru Training-Level dressage test to music!  Appropriate for adults and children aged 7 and up who are secure at a trot, Yellow Level equivalent or higher. Only $85 per rider.   Click here for more information about our Dressage Camp.

 

 

 

Show Jumping Campshow jumper

April 24-25, 2010

July 16-18, 2010

This totally cool weekend camp continues to amaze us.  Riders form teams and select music on Friday night, work out choreography and costumes on Saturday, and put on incredible mounted performances on Sunday .  Appropriate for adults and kids aged 9 and up, secure at a trot, Yellow Level equivalent and up.  Only $85 per rider.  Click here for more information about Quadrille Camp.

We do a lot of ground work with our horses, partly because it's good for our relationship, both on the ground and in the saddle, and partly because it's just FUN.  This weekend camp gives campers an introduction to equine behavioral theory , lots of time to practice training techniques with their horses, and a chance to show off those new training techniques in an informal exhibition with costumes and music.  Appropriate for adults and children, aged 9 and up, with basic leading skills, Horsekeeping Red Level equivalent and above.  Just $55 for the two-day camp.  Click here for more information about Ground Games Camp.
