We're pretty proud of our horses. They work hard to make sure that our students are safe and happy, and they enjoy teaching young riders. Scroll down to visit with each horse.

Zahtar is our star instructor, a bay 14.1 hh Arabian who was a Western
Pleasure horse for 20 years -- and then discovered a new life as a
lesson pony for basic instruction, jumping, and mounted games. His
gentle, affectionate nature makes him a favorite instructor for our younger
students. He has a secret passion for games, however -- watch him
fly through those bending poles! Zahtar is proud to be a USPC
Championships Games pony.

HEAVEN is the consummate games pony -- fast and
flashy -- with many years of experience at Pony Club National
Championships. A 14.1 hh chestnut Arab/Quarter Horse cross, Heaven
has been Pony Clubbed through the C levels, and can teach games,
dressage, show jumping, and cross-country to intermediate and
advanced students. She's also a kind and forgiving instructor to
young beginners. Heaven will do almost anything for treats,
and loves to perform tricks for adoring audiences.

SAGE Everyone seems to fall in love with Sage, our beautiful gray 15.1 hh Quarter Horse cross mare. Sage began her career as a trail horse, but under owner Jon's guidance Sage learned to jump and to foxhunt. She has been Pony Clubbed into the C Levels. Sage's Pony Club experience has helped her become a favorite instructor for students of all ages -- especially students learning to ride her smooth trot and canter. Grooming Sage is always an adventure: she enjoys wearing as much mud (and other unmentionable substances) as possible.

BISCUIT
is a 15.2 hh palomino Quarter Horse gelding who excels as a safe
and steady instructor for advanced beginner riders. His quick wits
and quirky personality make him a favorite around
the barn, especially when he's performing tricks like "kissing" and
"smiling" for anyone who might have treats. Rhonda has taught
Biscuit other tricks, as well, but has made him happiest by teaching
him to jump. Stay tuned to find out just how high Biscuit can
fly!

HITMAN is a rescued pony (named for an unfortunate encounter with a hit-and-run vehicle) who has turned into a dependable little instructor. This bay grade gelding stands only 13.2 hh tall, but he has the heart and the determination of
a much bigger horse. (Maybe because he thinks he's a 17hh warmblood?) Hitman
teaches dressage, jumping, and cross-country up to the Pony Club D-3
Level. He has the most fun larking around at hunter paces and
jumping with Kaitlin, his favorite human.

PETEY is just about the cutest pony we've ever seen.
Petey is a versatile little 13.2 hh pinto pony who teaches the basics to young beginners. He's sweet, gentle, patient and huggable -- our favorite mount for Pony Ride lessons and Rising Riders. He's also learning to play games and jump with our more advanced riders. Petey misses his beloved owner Caroline, but has settled in happily here with us and he will be fit and ready when Caroline comes to visit.
